I think the reason for that is because when albums are made in a shorter time and especially with the high use of a same composer (TK) the album has a far stronger unison to it, and surprisingly unison and a natural flow to an album really helps it. I couldn't stand Rock'n'Roll Circus because it was all over the place and had no idea what genre it should be in.
Maybe Ayu is like me, you get this huge spurt of inspiration and you work better under pressure. Perhaps Ayu's passion hit a high and she couldn't get enough of working on her music with TK and they just brainstormed like crazy together and the inspiration just couldn't stop flowing. As a photographer/photo manipulator artist I can tell you I get like that.
