I'm so ridiculously torn on this whole thing...
I'm happy for:
- Ayu getting married at a decent age
- The possibility of offsprings... <3
- Ayu BEING happy, which is what it seems she is
- Ayu marrying someone who isn't entirely well-known... it makes it feel a bit more heartfelt
- Being able to say I have Ayumi Hamasaki's fiance on Facebook

- Seeing how the wedding will go... what she will wear, how big it'll be, if she'll sing, etc.
- Ayu being in love again.
Whereas I'm a bit more uncomfortable with:
- How long they've known each other. I'm really hoping they knew each other LONG before Virgin Road and that he inspired the lyrics for it or something.
- The language barrier. I mean, of course if you truly love someone this is a minor obstacle, but it won't exactly make things easier for the two.
- The potential offsprings mentioned above leading to a hiatus of some sort (a bit selfish, I know, but I think we'd all be a little sad)
- How this will affect Ayu as an artist - it's a big change for her, and might result in a big change in her lyrics, scheduling, appearance, etc. This could be for better or for worse though, it's just a lot to anticipate.
It's just so quick, at least for the fans who've been paying attention to her this year. I remember jokingly saying, in September, after watching Mannie hug Ayu in the Virgin Road Making Of..., "They'd make such a cute couple!" ... And then four months later, we find out they're getting married. It's just a bit of a shock.
In the end, I trust Ayu's judgment.

It really is just a bit shocking though!
