i read in a biogrpahy about Mannie that he left everything behind years ago when he moved to LA, so i don't think he has any family left. they are probably just spending the New Year together. maybe Ayu wanted to get out of Japan when she announced their engagement.
honestly, i have a good feeling that they new eachother longer than the Virgin Road PV filming. i don't think Ayu would rush into anything that fast with her stardom the way it is.
we all need to trust Ayu's instinct and be happy for her. atleast she didn't run off and marry him without telling us, then we'd all probably feel betrayed, lol. Ayu trusted us with the information of her getting married, it shows how much she loves and appreciates her fans.
