Maybe she's talking about the planning for her tour? I can see how that would be "complicated" and would eventually "give birth to something new". And because of the complications of her work life, she likes going back to the "simple things"--her relationship with Mannie (shown through the picture).

Um, that's just how I read it after looking at it for a while. XD
