Of course most pieces that will be remembered in 100 years will only be listened to musicians who are interested in studing music and so... But still, some pieces older than 100 years still are pretty recognizible even these days... Bethoven lived from 1770 to 1827 and I doubt there is anyone one in the world with TV, radio or internet that never listened to some stuff he did...
