嵐の櫻井翔（２９）が９日、都内で開かれた生命保険会社「アフラック」の新ＣＭ発表会に出席した。 同社の 新たながん保険「生きるためのがん保険Ｄａｙｓ」のキャンペーンキャラクターに起用され、「責任重大です。 同世代にがんやがん保険が身近になるきっかけになれば」と真剣な口調で訴えた。
同社のＣＭキャラクターはアヒルの「アフラックダック」だが、１４日から放送される櫻井のＣＭでは童話の「 青い鳥」がモチーフの「青いダック」として登場する。
青い鳥」には「ふだん気付かないが、実は一番身近にいていざというときに頼りになる」という意味が込められ ており、「自分にとっての青い鳥は？」と聞かれ、「嵐のメンバーです」とテレていた。

A little summary about this, Sho had press con yesterday about this Aflack cm. This cm will promote a life insurance for those in Cancer treatment. Along with Sho-kun there will be a blue duck. The 15seconds version of the CM will be start airing on 14th march and the 30second one on 22th March. For Sho the blue bird means something like you don't really notice, but in reality it's the one you rely on the most on crucial moments. So when Sho was asked "who is your blue bird?" he answered "Arashi members", then he was asked "All the members?" and he said "Yup, that's what i think"
