Minami Takahashi Team A Captain
An appearance of a Yankii but with a heart of glass is how her introduction goes. Minami Takahashi, known by her nickname Takamina is the captain
of AKB48's Team A and a part of the subgroup No Sleeves (ノースリーブス) known as no3b for short. Having starred in a few drama's such as Mendol and even in a play with Sayaka Takamina is popular with fans and causal fans of AKB.
Some of the things she is known for are having a small height and usually having a bow in her hair. Respected by the other members some consider Takamina as one of the representatives of AKB overall. An upcoming AKB concert is titled "TAKAMINA NI TSUITE IKIMASU" ("We follow Takamina") in YOKOHAMA ARENA.
Sayaka Akimoto Team K Captain
Beautiful and Strong is her introduction. Sayaka Akimoto known to some as Saaya but mostly just Sayaka is captain of AKB48's
Team K. Sayaka will be in the new Subgroup DiVA. Sayaka has been in a few plays such as Infinity along side Minami.
If Sayaka is around Sae is usually somewhere nearby. Together they are known as the Twin Towers. They host a radio show together. Sayaka's known for her athletic side, the fact that she loves to drink Milo her and English skills (part of which comes from her being a huge Michael Jackson fan). Some say she knows the most English out of the group. She is part Filipino.
Yuki Kashiwagi Team B Captain
Yuki Kashiwagi or Yukirin is the captain of AKB48's Team B. She is in the Subgroup French Kiss. When in school she plays trombone.
Atsuko Maeda
Atsuko Maeda known as Acchan is known to many as the face of AKB. She was number 1 in Senbastu until Yuko got number 1. She will have her solo debut on 6/22.
Haruna Kojima
Haruna also known as Kojiharu, Harunyan or sometimes Nyan is in No Sleeves (ノースリーブス) along with Minami Takahashi and Minami Minegishi.
Mariko Shinoda
Mariko also known as Maririn joined AKB after Team A was formed. She had worked on the same floor as the theater. She had wanted to audition because she liked the group but was unable to because she had to work. After sharing the story with customers as something to talk about many fans wrote to Akimoto asking that she be able to audition. She joined 3 months before Team K was formed. She's into fashion and has modeled in magazines. She has many fans outside of AKB. She likes Hamtaro.
Tomoni Itano
Tomoni also known as Tomochin has a solo career.
Minami Minegishi
Minami known as Miichan is a part of No Slevees with Takamina and Haruna.
Oshima Yuko
Yuko surprised everyone when she got the number 1 spot in Heavy Rotation. She can snowboard.
Sae Miyazawa
Sae is known for being super energetic. She also stared in Infinity along with Yuki Kashiwagi. In the new subgroup DiVA. If Sayaka is around Sae is usually somewhere nearby. Together they are known as the Twin Towers. They host a radio show together.
Mayu Watanabe
Due to Mayu's stare she's known as the 'cyborg idol'.
