The term “female idol” has been used since the 1970s in Japan.

Throughout the years, various idols have popped up, but the idols in this poll were the ones that males and females between ages 20 and 40 voted as idols that will be “everlasting”.

They’re the idols that will be talked about years down the road, “Do you remember ___? They were amazing!”.
