Simple and cheap aren't the same. Break It/Get Myself Back was simple but the quality of the photos was more rich with better lighting, quality looking props (the metal box) and a real setting (Get Myself Back) but with this new one it looks like they tried to pull off a surreal take on a realistic setting but when it's done completely in the studio like that with awkward lighting and prop placement then it looks cheap. Details make a simple photo a quality photo.
