^That's the really tough part. It depends with me. I do Rainbow in hangul since there's some much more popular group I've never heard of using the tag in English and I hated using "Rainbow" only to have a picture of that group show up on my last.fm (like you said). Secret I do in English because it's written in English on all their covers and stuff, and no one else has that tag dominated like with Rainbow. T-ARA I do in English for the same reason as Secret (there's DEFINITELY not another artist using T-ARA). It's annoying and confusing since everyone disagrees. I can't tell in a lot of cases, but it seems right to me to use the English tag when the Korean is nothing more than a phonetic spelling of the English word. Conversely, SNSD's tag for the Korean releases should be the hangul because it says Girls' Generation actually in Korean and it's not just a phonetic spelling like most of the others.
I don't think anyone should be telling anyone else what to do with tags though. At the end of the day, it's that person's preference. I do think, however, that if someone is gonna use last.fm, they shouldn't do things that are blatantly wrong like using romaji for Japanese artists' names or song titles, but if you aren't scrobbling it, then I sure as hell don't care what they're doing.
