On July 12th, actress and singer Kuroki Meisa attended the award ceremony for the “L’Oréal-UNESCO Awards for Women in Science” as a presenter.
Kuroki is the current face of L’Oréal, and presented a special award given by Tohoku University.
“If I had to choose my favorite subject it would be science as well,” she commented. Kuroki then added, “It gave me a lot of courage, realizing how many different fields women are successfully active in. I’d like to work hard to give other people the same courage.”
Nobel Prize winner Shirakawa Hideki also attended the event.
