And oh yeah, I'm a 100% sure Urata had a huge influence in ayu taking this direction, I bet he was like, "omg but this beat is so good!! We should try it!!!", and ayu was like, "Yeah!! You're sooo right!!"

Well I think for me...and getting off topic here but whatever...I think R&B is not as versatile as rock is...I mean, with Rock, you can just, use the instruments to match whatever you want, and you can call it pop rock...
R&B is characterized so much differently. You have to know your beats and your rhythms. You have to know the influences and stuff like that, going back to the 60s, in order to truly make something innovative or unique...
but don't get me wrong, I love R&B, and I really love experimental R&B, so if she can make this work for her, wow, that would be amazing...
but for me, one of the biggest problems I see, is how much her vocals clash for me with R&B music...maybe it's okay for other people...but when I listen to my R&B, I like me some good, strong,
smooth vocals lol
BENI, Emi Hinouchi, hiromi, AILI, Thelma, etc...but yeah, I guess we'll just see.
I think it's interesting that most of her male collabos are R&B songs...Ayu is so funny.
