If I had to name one ayu album that has absolutely no concept and is really just a mash of songs, m(u) will be my choice. So yea, it's nice when ayu albums have a concept, but does it really matter if it's "just a bunch of random stuff thrown together"? Does having no concept (or none that we've noticed at any rate) make a lousy ayu album? I don't think so. So, sorry but I have to totally disagree with you on this.
(miss)understood songs are about the way japanese girls lived on that era (that is most likely not too far from how they live today). The main aesthetical choice was 70s and 80s images (found on the whole booklet, on the whole visual of the tour and on the promotional stuff) and sounds (found through the album).

And yeap, FIVE is all about hope^^
