25. MY ALL

Some notes:
- The stage is incredible--it's set up like a real hotel and the set-list is divided by interludes into smaller vignettes of sequences portraying different stories taking place in the hotel rooms. It should be noted, however, that the stage is NOT like the A MUSEUM setup; it's like the ASIA TOUR 2008 model and there was no side-stage present on the south side of the stadium, just a booth for VIPs.

- MOON involved a bed scene featuring a shirtless Maro, scantily-clad female dancer and a pajama-wearing Ayu.

- NEVER EVER seemed to be about fighting couples where the females were angry at their men and closing staged doors on them.

- sending mail featured Ayu as the scorned female lead dealing with an angered Subaru.

- November was fantastic--Shuya is dressed in an outfit similar to what all the dancers were wearing during the forgiveness performance of POWER of MUSIC and he had one angel's wing on his back. He and Ayu perform at the end of the catwalk and there's a water-show much like what we saw during the Boys & Girls performance of ARENA TOUR 2005~MY STORY~.

- Trauma~AUDIENCE only featured the chorus of both songs repeated twice. Altogether, the encore section was pretty short, but I'm not that surprised. Poor Ayu works herself to the bone this time of year--she's probably exhausted to do an extra show along with Kouhaku and still pump out an extra long encore.

In the end, HOTEL Love songs was pretty fantastic as far as storyline and imagery. Ayu's voice was also really strong the whole way through. I'd say the highlight song of the night was sending mail--that song deserves to be performed live ALL THE TIME. It was phenomenal.

The Empress of J-Pop doesn't cease to impress! Nicely done, my dear .
