Idol music in and of itself isn't bad. There is such a thing as good Idol music. For example, all of Morning Musume's big hits were actually musically diverse, even experimental sounding pop music. But most importantly, the compositions and hooks were memorable. That's why everyone in Japan still knows those songs to this day. The problem isn't idol music, it's bad idol music. At least 80% of what is on this list will be forgotten by next year.
