720P is HD as is 480p, 1080i, and 1080p.
The only format that is NOT HD is 480i.
1080i only looks SLIGHTLY better than 720p, so there is hardly any difference.
If you look at it from a video game stance, 99.9% of all video games on PS3/360 are 720p upscaled to 1080p/1080i, so if this is the same, it's no big deal.
Once again, these are PV's in a superior format to the DVD's, and not Avatar. If they're at least NATIVE 720p I'll be happy, as that is significantly better than an upscale.
