Ouch. I can understand her though. I did the same thing. Not marriage per se, but I got together with someone from the other part of the world with the intension of moving back there. But things changed my plans and feelings got cooled of. In my case the break-up didn't feel as hard since I already lost huge parts of my feelings.
I hope she will do well and that the japanese media will be nice.
