I kinda agree with the critics that her album is a bit too melodramatic and that she can tone it down a bit. Despite this impression of her, I do like her voice because it's sultry and sexy. She definitely can sing. She sounded drunk on SNL, and she sounds like she's faking an accent in some of her performances, but usually, she sounds great live. I just hope that the next album will be a bit more varied in subject matter and not as dramatic.
I have to admit though that "Born to Die" and "Video Games" are by far the best songs on the album, and I've been listening to them on repeat for a while. "Dark Paradise" is a close second.

I hope that people do give her a chance, as the album isn't bad at all. She's not just a rich girl. She actually has talent.
