To everyone who has supported me
I’m sorry it’s taken so long for me to report this to everyone.
I, Kuroki Meisa, married Akanishi Jin on February 2nd.
I am still immature,
But I want to work even harder than before,
And I hope to grow as a person.
Please continue to give me your support.

Nothing about pregnancy
While the statement is professional, it really gives no indication on how she feels about her marriage, if she's pregnant (she's allegedly only two months pregnant which is a bit early to make an announcement so I didn't really expect her to anyways), or how she will handle her music career (or even acting and modeling career) from here on out. This was a handwritten note to her fans so I'm a bit surprised that she didn't address any of these things. Maybe she doesn't know what she is going to do at this point as her main priority at this time is her new family.

While I can understand where you're coming from, I wouldn't compare Namie to Meisa in this situation. Namie's last release before going on hiatus to focus on raising her son was #1, the two releases that came out the year she was gone were #1, and her first single after coming back took the #1 spot as well. Plus, Namie had been in the music business for a longer time (including her career in SUPER MONKEYS) and had already established a successful career (and apparently a strong fanbase) as far as charting and her sales. Fortunately, Namie was able to leave and comeback on a high note but unfortunately, Meisa's last single only peaked at #47 and fell off the charts after two weeks and her album is not predicted to do well in sales (I hope she does better than predicted though, I think it would be nice for her to leave on a high note). Namie's also been in the music business for 20 years at this point and is at the top of her game, which is a great accomplishment and uncommon when considering all of the other singers who come and go in the industry. Music career wise, they aren't comparable at all except for the fact that they're both singers. Since music is something that Meisa enjoys and she doesn't seem to care about sales, I'm sure she'll want to continue making music in the future and I hope she does. If she decides to do so, I hope she can come back stronger than before. But to her compare her in any sense to Namie is quite ridiculous and to be honest, a bit laughable. I like Meisa but she isn't in the same caliber as Namie is at this point in their lives or even back then when Namie went on hiatus.
