I ordered only from YesAsia for the longest, because I didn't know any better. Their prices are extortion, they will rape you. Although if you can get free shipping, it MAY work itself it, but I'd do the calculations.
Then I found out about CDJ and started ordering from them, because at the time I couldn't really read japanese and their site was quite easy to navigate. They offer all new releases at list price though, which can still be high, but it's less than YA for sure, but shipping on top of that can be a *****.
Take the 1998-2011 Limited Edition Blu Ray Clip Box for example.
Yesasia: $300ish + free shipping = about $300 total
CDJ: 23000 yen + 2260 shipping = 25260 yen = about $331
Amazon: They discounted the list price and charged me 16865 yen (HUMONGOUS discount!) plus 2000 yen shipping = about $248 total.
See the difference?
So I guess... if you're getting a lot of heavy items, or just a lot of items in general, YesAsia's free shipping might help. With CDJ, you pay a fair, standard price, and since they've offered FedEx shipping, I've gotten my stuff on release date! (Which is technically the date before release in Japan haha). And from now on, I'll be using Amazon if they discount the list price like they did with the clip box...I was floored at how much money I saved
