Although I don't expect for everyone to only have positive opinions either, I would think that some people would be more willing to give it a chance before automatically assuming that it's going to be bad. As fans (which I assume most of us are being that we are on an Ayumi Hamasaki forum), I understand that we don't have to love everything that she does but I don't think that it's unfair to say that we should have some faith in her to release a quality product, whether it fits our personal tastes or not. For me personally, I'm excited about the album and have a positive outlook on this release but I'm staying neutral for the most part so I don't have any expectations until I hear more songs than we've heard at this point.
i agree with this so much. i've come to really dislike HBYA, but i'm still excited for the album. just because i hate one song doesn't mean the rest will be bad. like, if you compare Party Queen to HBYA the quality is way different (Party Queen being on a whole other level). so who knows what we'll get. i personally find that the songs on ayu's albums always vary in quality (you get a mixed bag of a few bland/bad, some great, and some mind blowing amazing) so you can't judge a whole album by 1 or 2 songs.
