Hey all! This is my first time posting here. I've only had an account since this past September, but I've been a long time lurker. I felt the need to finally post here because of the noticeable dislike for Timmy that I've observed on this forum. I totally get that everybody has their own taste in music. You don't like the songs Timmy composes musically? While I do not share that opinion, it is still a perfectly valid one. Anyway, that aside, I wanted to explain why I not only like but love that Timmy works with Ayu so often.
Well, first off, I remember when I first saw the Brillante video. It was just so gorgeous and powerful. Ayu was great in that song. Also, Timmy (although at the time he was just 'that guy next to Ayu' to me, I didn't know his name) was a nice touch to the music video. I mean, maybe it's just because I'm into drag queens and crazy costumes in general, but I loved his get up (the makeup, the corset) and dramatic acting.
Moving forward I learned that Timmy composed HBYA, as well as some other PQ songs, and was also featured in the NaNaNa music video. I couldn't have been more happy. Not only did I just like the music he made, but in addition to that he symbolized something to me.
I always wondered if Ayu was alright with homosexuality. I mean I had an idea that she maybe was, because of some of her music videos such as Lady Dynamite and Green, but I still didn't know for certain if she was REALLY okay with it, you know what I mean? As a gay person myself this mattered to me. I mean I didn't let it dictate my life or anything of course not xD But still, because I looked up to Ayu because I think she's a great artist and person, I wondered if she was really totally fine with homosexuality.
So as you guys probably know, Timmy is gay xD The fact that he and Ayu are friends (it really seems like they are judging by their tweets and her interviews!) and work together so often makes me so happy. She obviously accepts him (and all sorts of other people judging by her HBYA pv+lyrics!). I almost can't put into words what a relief that is to me.
So yeah, that's why I like Timmy. I like his music, I loooooove when he wears crazy makeup, and I love how Ayu has embraced him as a friend and co-worker.
