btw, I'm starting to get the feeling that there will be no album. With this being her 20th Anniversary I can totally see Avex releasing a 3-cd greatest hits or something and it would include all these latest singles.
I ws sort of starting to hope for a "singles' compilation best" with a few new tracks tossed, I don't really want an album without most of my fav songs from her recent singles. Since I don't have most of her stuff on CD I wouldn't mind an "all time compilation", but I'd prefer a regular album tbh.

I like ayu's latest efforts, but I think the same can be said to a certain extent for her music as well. Namie's recent stuff, even if not all of it is my kind of music, is probably some of the most interesting mainstream pop music in japan right now. It sounds up to date, but still fresh, interntional yet it's not cookie cutter generic. I think most of her recent tracks could've easily been released anywhere had they been translated into the relevant languages and shortened a bit (as j songs are too long for most other markets) SHe's working with different people from across the planet which probably explains it.
