You could always still choose to be respectful about it, or constructive, but on the other hand, I get that people don't always want to tread lightly and be super sensitive to how everyone is feeling. I personally have a whole lot more respect for "I don't like this song because I dislike jazz" instead of something completely rude and disrespectful. Because you can't ask a person "Well, why don't you like it?" if they reply with "it's crap." And I like to inquire
