And then compare his work to Ayu's classics or the other tracks on Party Queen. The gap in skill and ear for melody is HUGE. Astronomical. BRILLANTE is a great track but far from Ayu's best and stuck out on FIVE because the other tracks weren't anything special. But that's about it for him. HBYA is great as well but it's hardly original - just another piano ballad that Ayu is so famous for making.
He is an ametuer composer and the results show. Also don't downplay the role of the arranger and instrumentalists. If I suspect correctly, they did a great job making something of his limited experience. Just because he is the "composer" does not make him the mastermind of any track his name has had the misfortune of being slapped on.
Is composing/producing music like... his career? I can't tell what he is supposed to be.
