It's true about the Japanese music scene in terms of internationally. Internationally KPOP is dominating everything, but that's because KPOP companies use the internet to their advantage. YG and SM entertainment etc use sites like Youtube to their full advantage, and even sometimes but English subs on their videos for international fans. More and more people discovered KPOP through the internet, because KPOP companies rarely censor that much, whereas if you try to put any Japanese music or video, it will be taken down instantly. Japanese companies seem do to their best to make sure NOTHING is uploaded, which of course means that they are effectively taking away their own potential publicity and coverage. JPOP covers used to be more popular on Youtube, until Japanese companies like Avex decided to get really anal, and now even covers are taken down. People gave up covering JPOP songs and moved to KPOP. JPOP used to be more prominent a few years ago, before Japanese companies started to censor so much, and before KPOP got a real hold of the internet and becoming more popular internationally. It's a shame because I think JPOP could be just as popular in the west. I don't think the school girl cute groups like AKB48 would be, because that's not what western people really like, but Koda and Namie Amuro and the like, could do so well!! DD: It's so annoying!
Although I swear Avex must be listening a little now, since I noticed for the first time they have actually started to upload videos in FULL on Youtube now, with Ayu's Party Queen album PVs! So one can hope! <3

D But I still like the rest of the songs as well, just not as much as those!
