I believe the ourselves PV really has nothing to do with the lyrics (which is quite common with ayu PVs). After watching it, I felt that the PV had a few different meanings. First off, the people wearing the 'ayu masks' and the scientists had blurred the border of love and hate. They loved her so much that they wanted to be her, but at the same time, this love had driven them insane and they wanted to destroy her. The children being circled by the people in ayu masks conveyed an image of 'brainwashing' today's youth into loving the popular artist.
Maybe I'm looking too deep into it, but these seemed really apparent to me after watching it just once. I'd have to say 'ourselves' is probably one of the greatest ayu PVs.
