Ah. Good observation then . You're very correct. For years, a number of bands and musicians have been trying to break through this standard format of verses and bridges and chorusses. Progressive artists like Dillinger Escape Plan, Dying Fetus, Cryptopsy, Candiria, you name 'em. And not only on the 'rock' field. Those of you familiar with jazz know how different the musical approach of artists such as John Coltrane, Ornette Coleman, Miles Davis, and Art Blakey, among others, was. Even a band that is in general sometimes even called 'nu-metal' (for reasons I don't understand, for they're clearly not), namely Deftones, is doing very progressive stuff. The opening track on their previous album White Pony, Feiticeira, didn't even have a chorus!
