But I agree with you both. I'm sure the members of AKB48 and their sister groups work very hard, but I can't wrap my head around Japan's complete obsession with them. I tried to get into their music. I bought Kamikyokutachi and I liked it, but I don't listen to it very often, if ever these days. Their music sounds exactly like Berryz Koubou and Morning Musume to me, and almost all of their singles sound the same to me... they all sort of blend together and I can never remember what they sound like after listening to them.
I want my favorite artists to slay like them.
