Two thinks can happen. She can either go the way of Namie, and sink and sink till she hits big again, or she will just fade away like most.
I'm not hoping for the ladder, but that is the most likely.

She's not going on a long hiatus like you make it seem though. JAPONESQUE was just released and did fine with no promo even beating Ayu with PQ (for now at least). She'll be back before we know it so being gone from the public eye won't be a problem for her since it's almost like she never left. I'm sure she will get some media publicity when the child is born as well as Kuu has been sharing some photos and such with her fans.
As for Ayu's voice thats your opinion but many others seem to differ.
