Well, she's neither pretty nor talented, so she had to be very clever. She just basically stuck her face everywhere it doesn't belong and it worked. Her desperate attention seeking tactics attracted a lot of similarly desperate wotas. Basically, she could not appeal to wotas in the traditional way being really ugly and talentless, so she had to make it seem like she could sympathize with them. She wanted to be the "people's idol" they say. i.e. she stole AKB48's overall theme and milked it for her own advancement. Pretty clever if you ask me.
I wasn't always a Sashi-hater but she did a great job of converting me. At first she was funny....but now its like gawd when are they gonna kick this attentionhoe out of the limelight hmmmmmm?
