Andrenekoi is correct. Those were the albums with the most extreme differences in rating. They got #1 on some lists but #15 in others. They're in the top 3 AND the bottom 3 for people. These would be the "love 'em or hate 'em" albums, for the most part, as opposed to people generally agreeing on them being overall decent or not so great.
(miss)understood isn't a controversial album AT ALL - it's pretty much generally agreed among most AHS members that it's a damn fine piece of work. A Song for XX is likewise not at all controversial - it's in the bottom half for pretty much everyone, and USUALLY in the bottom 3.
In the case of, say Party Queen, however, you had some people saying it was her best album ever, some saying it was her worst, and most opinions had it at least hovering near the top or near the bottom - not many people had it in the middle compared to a more obviously middle-of-the-road album like Secret.
