Neither Crea nor Timmy take part on arrangment and production...
This. Timmy has a musical background, a professional one. He studied it, he knows how to compose and that is easily visible in the sheer variety of melodies he has written for Ayumi though he hasn't even written many songs for her yet. Party Queen is her most interesting album melodically by far, skillfully taking influences from many areas for the melodies, not just the arrangements. Ayumi doesn't know anything about composition, she said it herself, and most of her melodies are rather...awkward at times, unique, yes, but awkward and often much of the same, they always followed similar structures. Most of the CREA-tracks people love stand out for incredible arrangements(M is only unique because of it's fresh arrangement) rather than great composition. The songs aren't bad, but the thing making them (musically) great isn't Ayumi's work.

CREA compositions are like Adele compositions, they are unique and given great delivery to make them stand out, but are rather mediocre when you really take a look at the melody lines instead of letting the stuff around it fool you.
Like forgiveness, it's my FAVORITE Ayumi song, but the melody is really simplistic and not special whatsoever, the arrangement and emotion in the delivery turn the song into something unique, not the CREA work.
