UVERworld to provide theme song for Eikura Nana’s upcoming drama, ‘Kuro no Onna Kyoshi’
Rock band UVERworld has revealed that they will be releasing their new single, “THE OVER“, on August 29th!
This single has been picked up as the theme song for Eikura Nana’s upcoming drama, ‘Kuro no Onna Kyoshi‘. For its coupling track, the single will include “MASSIVE“, a song that’s already been performed during the band’s concerts.
UVERworld worked on this song when they had time to spare from their nationwide tour. Regarding the song-making process, TAKUYA∞ (Vo) commented, “We rented a studio in the countryside and wrote the lyrics. In Niigata, we looked for a place to sing, but couldn’t find one. So we rented a house and recorded the song.”
Meanwhile, Shintaro (Dr) revealed, “We finished recording at one point, but we reconsidered the formation and theme, and had to record it again. It was a last-minute process, but we were able to settle down in a good direction.”
As UVERworld celebrated their 7th year anniversary on July 6th, fans can look forward to a surprise from the members during the finale of their tour, which will be held on July 7th and 8th at Yokohama Arena.
‘Kuro no Onna Kyoshi’ will air on TBS every Friday at 10:00 pm.
