I mean, yes, she does look beautiful and the dresses and shooting locations are nice. There's nothing wrong with the aesthetics. But somehow those shots seem lifeless to me even when she's looking directly into the camera or has a smile on her face.
I can't even really explain it, it's just the feeling I get from the whole thing.
I do prefer the photos they used for the album booklet/cover in the end.
But I think the offshots are really interesting to see. And Timmy (it's him in the NY pictures, right?) looks like really confused.  |
I totally agree! She looks pretty, classy, elegant.. and also dead, sometimes. I don't see her enjoying, only trying to look pretty, like if she were a sculpture. "Hamasaki Republic", for example, is the opposite: every pic has a different ayu. She looks expressive and natural in that photobook. Seeing her being beautiful (and nothing more) is.. quite boring. From all we've seen until now, I can only save 3 or 4 pics.
