One REALLY needs some musical taste to like her old stuff. I don't know why Japan went Ape**** over her a long time ago. But I still recommend 'white key'. Not too bad at all.

Well, I'm a 90s kid (I was born in 1988) so I like the music from that time.
And also, I'm a fan of Tetsuya Komuro's music. But in Ami's case I think the popularity she had came mostly from the singing competition that she won in late 1997 or early 1998, I'm not quite sure, but she was popular the moment her first single was released (love the island).
Sometimes I really wonder what kind of artist she might be today if that blacklisting issue didn't happen in 2000.
