^ Well, it's like Beach Mix: if Kumi wanted to release a single called Whatchu waitin' on and put all the remixes as bonus tracks, it would be a maxi summer single, and not a remix album.
The only thing that changes is the price and how much you want to promote, since singers usually don't promote a lot mini and remix album.
