By that definition though that means ayu doesn't have 50 singles - a lot of them would have to be classified as mini albums.
For me, it's not the length but the number new songs.
She routinely had singles that we're this long but they didn't charge the price of a mini album for them.
I can see no good reason really to call it a mini album other than the two theories others have posted. And that's fine. It's Avexs choice and the consumers choice to decide whether the content is worth paying the higher price - especially when there is a very good chance that all the songs will eventually be released in some form of compilation.
