For all we know the couple could have been living apart for a couple months or years before Maro and Ayu happened. Like I said, I don't think that Ayu actually did that, it was just a general statement on men who cheat on their wives. It seems to me that Maro is probably already divorced, or at least in the process, so that in no way makes Maro a cheater.
