Kato Shigeaki to publish 2nd novel “Senko Scramble”

On December 3rd it was revealed that NEWS’ Kato Shigeaki (25), who made his debut as a novelist on January with “Pink and Gray”, will be releasing his 2nd novel on March 1st, 2013 with the title 「閃光スクランブル」”Senko Scramble” (Kadokawa Shoten Publishing).

His previous work sold a total of 120,000 units and ranked in the first places of popularity. According to an interview held in Tokyo, Kato said “I give it 120 points for execution. I want to feel the growth in this second book”.

Same as his previous novel, this will also be based in the entertainment world. A core member of a popular idol group of women and a cameraman who dedicates to entertainment gossip, their lives intertwine in a world that exists in real life though Kato explains, “This is absolutely fiction. Everything written there is just in my imagination”.

He confessed he witnessed bookstores with his previous work and talked about his current dream, “I want to have my own corner in bookstores, I want to keep writing at least one book per year in order to achieve this”, he enthusiastically added.
