I think that's probably the best way to sum up Ayu's continual struggle as an artist: the dream is right there in front of her. She doesn't want to let go of it, she doesn't want to give up on it, but there will always be the impulse to give in and admit defeat. And then it goes around back in a circle, where the dream comes back, she gives into it, and then suffers for it.
