Aiba Masaki in his first role as physician, “I want to show a cool side of me”

On January 10th, Arashi member Aiba Masaki and the cast of “Last Hope” (FujiTV) held a stage greeting before the premiere in Omotesando Hills, Tokyo. The said drama will start on January 15th at 9PM. Aiba appeared in a white coat according to his role. Both the announcer and moderator praised him saying he looked “cool” and “kakkoi”. “Right? I came with confidence”, replied a smiling Aiba, “I want to show I have that side too in 2013″.

In order to prepare for his role, Aiba hangs his stethoscope on his neck all the way to home and also has heard CD of heart sounds; “The other night I heard a pounding and I immediately stopped cause I got too scared”. Also I had to line up a lot of Kanji and read them one by one to remember my lines.

The theme song of this drama will be Arashi’s new single “Calling” (March 6th). “It’s a song that has catchy lyrics with the theme of hope, I think it’ll become a rock number. I don’t get that many solo parts in Arashi songs but this time I want to sing with a fresh feeling”, he appealed to us. “This is the beginning of our 30s. I was really happy when I was offered to participate in this drama. I want to do my best as a member of Arashi and because we have a lot of people supporting us, I plan to enjoy it to the fullest”.

To celebrate the broadcast of the drama, during 15 days since January 10th to January 24th, “Last Hope Illumination” will be displayed in Omotesado. Approximately 250,000 gold champagne LED with the title of the drama hope to simulate a sunset.
