Besides, some of those original songs have such horrible, and dated arrangements. People who like club and R&B songs, now have a chance to love the best part about those songs....the melodies.

Most artists see covers as a way to bring great songs they themselves like to a new (younger) audience, if people don't care for the original songs the meaning of doing a cover would be lost. And what made those songs great were of course also the arrangements. Kuu could have done a great rock cover of "Pink Spider" for example, I'm sure she would be able to. She has done rock before, so why not? But instead "Pink Spider" got this empty sounding dull club sound. And moreover club and R'n'B songs don't have to sound that empty and cheap like most of the covers on this album do. The arrangements those songs got are just terrible and trashy.
