Pretty insane for an artist who is "losing popularity".
I didn't think the Maro thing was that big of a deal either, but apparently it was pretty wide spread. People who don't even follow Ayu seemed to know that "she is now with a married man who has a child". I personally don't think its anyones business and shouldn't matter, but in Japan appearance is everything it seems and this did not reflect well on her character.

Usually Ayu's shows still sell out (although yes, judging by the reseller shops, quite a few tickets end up there). I was surprised to see Avex doing promo for this tour though; usually they don't because the tickets pretty much sell themselves for her concerts so that did make me think they might be worried about ticket sales this year.

Huh? How? The Best Fiction Tour alone had 64 dates all in arenas. She just performed 8 shows at Dome's. That right there surpasses the total for an entire Arena tour. Both tour a lot, but for the past several years now Namie's attendance top Ayu's and for sure DVD/bluray sales top Ayus. I don't know why that should really matter much though. People should just be happy that any female artist is making it to the top of the charts these days even if it might not be their favorite.
