The wonderful world of J-pop!
With declining sales of music (I think Japan is suffering this along with America), and the fact that Japanese kids (and adults) have more things to spend money on (cell's, cameras, computer), which makes spending money even more shallow.
Singles with a lot of remixes tend to cost more, which doesn’t look attract if you just want a single for a song. Singles promote albums. And if your album isn’t promoted, then no one will buy it.
Not only that, but some singles tend to get repetitive, If you hear the song 5 times on one single, your going to get more bored with the song then a single with the song only 3 times. =\ This probably doesn’t even come to mind to aver and company.
And I don’t think there will be another ayu-mix type cd until a new album is released, you cant do too many remixes with a mini-album. Using the same old songs is pretty repetitive.
