SPYAIR Announces New Single "Niji" As Opening For Matsuda Shouta's New Drama

SPYAIR's facebook page has just announced the release of a new single titled "Niji", which is set to be the theme song for Matsuda Shouta's new drama "Undercover Agent Tokage".
The drama is set to air on the 18h of April, Thursdays at 9pm on TBS with Matsuda Shouta to play the lead role of a former detective, Tokage, turned private investigator. To accompany this highly anticipated drama, the producers wanted a powerful sound, which made SPYAIR a perfect choice. The song "Niji", meaning rainbow, is described as a grand rock ballad that reflects the courage of one who continues through adversity.
SPYAIR posted their own comments on the song, "Our world is filled with trash and treasure. The value of things becomes vague, and you become unaware of these limits. The protagonist of the drama, Tokage, probably knows of this feeling. This is what we thought when we finished writing the lyrics. The vocals are certain to overcome a frozen heart with a sound that reflects a vast view of the world and universal beat. We have put all of our energy into making this song. Whether it's one person, or many, we want people to hear this!"
The single itself is set to be released on the 29th of May with a normal CD edition and CD+DVD edition, each being ￥1,050 and ￥1,365 respectively. The B-track is titled "Are You Champion? Yeah!! I'm Champion !!" and judging by the name alone, is going to be an interesting song.
