Ayumi has already demonstrated she can do a stripped down tour. It was called Power of Music. The first round of shows were incredibility minimalistic.
There is a reason why she doesnt go over seas, because she doesnt want too. She has already said she has no desire to do it so why?
Her main audience is in Japan. Thats it. Theres not reason for her to go to Europe or america for her MAYBE 100's of fans.
She might to do another asia tour one day, who knows. But the way she is being hated by her international 'fans' why bother?

You've gotta be kidding about the Gackt comment. He writes his own lyrics, music, often times arrangements as well, plays several instruments botg live and on his albums etc. If he isnt a musician then i dont know who is. Also, Power of Music was a far cry from a band in a hall or club.
Don't get me wrong, my favorite ayu show ever is the TA limited live. But it's as you said, if she wanted to do that kind of show again she would, but clearly she doesn't. Or at least doesn't think it's worth doing - as you put it for a few hundred fans. Gackt and Hyde as well do think its worth it however and I think them being actual musicians probably is a factor. Hyde could be selling out stadiums with l'arc yet he chooses to spend a lot of his time solo touring small venues around the world. That says to me that they are more concerned with their music being heard by as many people as possible, rather than going only where it will be most profitable for them, their companies etc. and I'm not saying one is bad, but it's just obviously a very different way of doing things that I'm not sure ayu is willing to do.
