When I saw the single cover, I thought "Surreal". Something that really irks me is when videos, promotional material and music for a song are inconsistent. She should have gone with the same look and hairstyle as the CD cover.
As for the dancing bit, it didn't bother me as much as some other fans, but I can understand why people may have found it to be awkward. From my own perspective at least, Ayumi isn't a sex symbol. She has more of an innocent, child-like aura if anything. So if someone like Britney Spears did that routine, people may be annoyed or roll their eyes, but it wouldn't be surprising. Whereas with Ayumi you don't expect that sort of thing from her, which will result in mixed reactions.
