NEWS tops Oricon weekly ranking with their 5th album

Popular group NEWS' 5th original album "NEWS" (released on July 17th) sold 100,000 copies in the first week and topped Oricon's weekly album ranking.
This is the group's 6 consecutive chart topping album since their 1st album "touch" (released in April 2005).
There have only been 3 artists who have 6 consecutive chart topping albums since the 1st one, including KinKi Kids, Utada Hikaru, and KAT-TUN. Therefore, NEWS is the 4th artist to accomplish it.
