As Gustavopc said - if you're using iTunes, they've recently changed things around and it confused me for a while. Before you add the new music files to iTunes/your chosen music program, highlight the files and right-click to select "Properties". Make sure the "read-only" option isn't ticked - it seems now that by default, it is ticked which means you can't change the artist or album information, which is really annoying lol
